Total Impact Martial Arts is fantastic. My son has been coming here for about a year and we have seen tremendous growth in him. He is so happy attending class and is motivated to continue to approve. Shihan Brian is welcoming and holds all students to the same standards. The Little Ninjas program is perfect for the younger kids to learn the skills and have fun doing it!!

My daughter loves coming to Total Impact. Shihan Brian and the other Masters are great teachers. They do not try to just pass the kids from belt to belt. I love Total Impact! I have been attending the kickboxing classes and could not be happier with the class structure, it feels like I get a great workout in every time. The staff is very kind and helpful as well! The classes are super fun! I have been to a few different Martial Arts and Kickboxing locations and this one is overall my favorite! 🙂

After doing much research on martial arts programs in the neighbourhood we chose Total Impact and have loved it since day 1. The instructors are wonderful, our son has enjoyed each class and have progressed impressively with his martial arts skills. Our 10 yrs old daughter is always looking forward to her weekly class at Total Impact.Since starting to attend class in there she has become more self disciplined towards life and school expectations as well. As a parent I really like the form that students have to provide in order to be allowed to test for the next belt. It makes students aware of how to conduct themselves with respect, accountability and responsibilities. All great life skills!The staff is always extremely nice and helpful. We are very happy with choosing Total Impact!

We love Total Impact! Sensei Brian and his whole team are dedicated, passionate teachers, who are sweet and flexible, and really understand the family sports dynamic! He's personable and approachable, which is a dying element of 21st century business!My 4 year old son went from yelling and screaming when asked to do simple tasks at home, to waking up and making his bed because Sensei Brian, told him that's what a good karate student did!My older daughter has moved through ninjas into more advanced levels, and she loves learning and practicing new skills!If you're on the fence, try out a class, you won't regret it!

I’m so happy we have found Total Impact. We have tried 4 different places before and I couldn’t even get my son to finish his trial, he’d say he doesn’t wanna stay there anymore. With Total Impact he said make sure to sign him for as many days as possible. Brian and his team are just amazing. I highly recommend this place!!! Your kids are going to love it there.

I am so happy to have found something to focus on. I wish I found Kickbox Fitness with Total Impact a lot sooner. My first few conversations with Brian were amazing. I was answered all the questions I had asked with even more detail given. Every week, every class is always different which I love. It's a great environment with such wonderful instructers. I am glad i found a place I can enjoy going to and leaving feeling great. Couldn't have asked for a better place to have joined.

I went there to get martial arts class for my kid, but this place has much more to offer.Brian is an amazing guide and mentor for kids.It’s an amazing guidance and mentorship that the kids get. The discipline and motivation is so effective have really seen changes in my 9 yrs old. It’s two years now and I look forward to many more such years. Kudos to the whole team.

Our kids have been a part of Total Impact for several years. Sensei Brian is an exceptional coach! He understands kids, he gets to know them pretty well. He is kind, but knows how to keep discipline during class. Kids are taught great techniques and learn how to keep great form required for Martial arts. Our kids really thrive there. The belt ranks are not given out just for attendance but for hard work. We are impressed with Brian’s approach and grateful for his advice and attention!

I decided to sign up for a trial and I’m glad I did. Today April 6th, 2023 I decided to do kickboxing. My experience here was awesome. I went to a jiu-jitsu class last Saturday April 1,2023 and my experience wasn’t great. The jiu-jitsu class made me feel like I was just a number and ToTal Impact Martial arts and fitness made me feel like a person. They even acknowledge me by my name and the instructors walk around to help you with the technique. They make you feel welcome and they work with you also. I’m even considering joining my kid here Definitely, going back ! Thinking about joining a martial class and don’t know which one . Well I RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION .

My son had tried 3 different martial arts places. He did not feel comfortable in any of them. Then we Found "Total Impact" and he really enjoys it. Hes been there for about 4 years now. The instructors are great and really focus on each student and their performance. I highly recommend this place. In my personal opinion, Total Impact will have a positive "Impact" weather your young or old. Our goal is to make it to a black belt.

We have tried 4 different Taekwondo/martial arts schools before we found Total Impact. Brian along with all of the other instructors (we love sensei Kirk and Brandon) are ABSOLUTELY amazing with kids. They are so patient, so kind yet firm, and positively encourages and teaches my boys (ages 5 and 7) to become the best they can be. Brian actually teaches all of the classes, and he is just awesome! I love the way he pays attention to every single student (and parents/families), and teaches all of the techniques along with great values. I also appreciated the fact that there was zero pressure to sign up after our free trial. There is no contract and the class fees are very reasonable, too! My boys didn’t want to try yet another martial arts school, but after a couple of weeks, they absolutely LOVE the classes. We’re so happy with Total impact! I hope to keep our boys here until they receive their black belts!!

Total Impact Maryial Arts is a great school. Brian and the rest of the instructors are great. They are patient and take time to make new students feel comfortable and not intimidated. I started the adult classes at Total Impact a couple months ago. The kickboxing class is fun & high energy. Sensai Brandon takes you through the flows and leaves you exhausted. You'll have so much fun you'll barely notice time past.Then there's MMA where we get technical with Sensai Kirk. Here is where you learn real self defense. Sensai Kirk teaches you the technique and then "it's your Krav after that!!!"Sensai Brian's the best. He's always there to correct form and provide "motivation!" He builds the community with BBQs and Holiday parties. When You join this gym you're joining a family.If You're on the fence, come check it out. It's a great workout!!!

Our daughter started this past August and absolutely loves it. Great for kids of all ages. Great teacher to student ratio. What we love most is they don’t just teach to progress students (you don’t earn belt promotions simply by showing up - you earn it through your knowledge and your attitude). Total Impact is a wonderful school that we are so happy our son is a part of. They instill great values and teach kids to be respectful and resilient. Brian and his co teachers Allen, Brandon, and the others are always full of energy for every class. They really infect you with their enthusiasm for Karate. My 6 yr old nephew and I went to our first class today. He went to a jr. class and I attended the kick boxing after. Brian and his team taught and entertained more than 15 kids for 45 min. The kids were attentive, smiling, asking questions, running, jumping and seemed to enjoy every minute. It was impressive to say the least. My nephew asked when the next class was at dinner.I had a great time at kick boxing. They encouraged everyone to go at their own pace and not over do it while delivering one hell of a workout! Everyone had their own punching bag to work out on as well. The instructor was helpful and the class flew by. I’m going again tomorrow!

My 10-year-old daughter wanted to try Karate after watching Cobra Kai. The owner was very welcoming and explained the whole process. He told me that his father-in-law trained at a dojo in Chicago that inspired Cobra Kai. The uniforms are similar to Cobra Kai and the classes are easygoing at first not to discourage new kids. The belt progression system gives kids the motivation to keep going. My daughter gets a good workout while having fun and listening to 80’s music. Great overall experience that has my daughter coming back!

My daughter is in the Junior MMA program and this is truly an amazing place! It is a very friendly environment! The instructors walk around while they are practicing to help them further understand the combinations. Sensei Brian and the other instructors have taught my daughter so much in only a few months of attending. The owner, Brian, really puts his heart and soul into this place. My kids love it. They have so much fun and the instructors really care about technique and having them learn correctly the first time. They are excited every time about going to class.Total side note as a mom I love that he has a bunch of air purifiers in the class area. The area doesn’t smell like other places we have been to and it will help with filtering germs out of the air to help keep his students healthy. That is the kind of attention to detail and concern that shows how much he cares.

Total Impact has been great for our daughter. The program is well-designed and appropriately paced for the kids to learn and master the techniques. Shihan Brian and the senseis focus not just on the martial arts techniques but overall development of fitness and discipline and behaviour. The schedules are flexible and easy to change as needed. My teenage daughter wanted to take MMA classes and Total Impact seemed like a great option based on the location. She started about a year ago with regular MMA classes and once they opened up Teen MMA, she switched to that. I think it is a great option for teens, so they can practice in their own age group rather than with little kids or adults. And there is a number of girls there, which makes me super happy.I like that I can bank my classes - I don't lose classes when my daughter is busy and only can come once a week or not at all and when she has more time, she comes there more often.At some point she also started trying other classes at the Total Impact and absolutely fell in love with kickboxing.I think every moody teen should take MMA classes to get their frustration out in a physical way. Just saying.

We have had such a positive experience with Total Impact. Our daughter wanted to try classes but was initially very shy. The coaches were really supportive and respectful of the time it took her to get up the courage to even try the free class, but the way they handled it made me suspect we were in a great place. Now that she is all in and attends classes several days a week, I am even more convinced of Total Impact's excellence. The disciplined lesson program is balanced with wisdom, kindness, good humor, and welcome, and our child has blossomed here. In addition to the physical skills she is acquiring, she has developed so much confidence through her interactions with these thoughtful instructors. We are so glad to have found Total Impact and grateful for its impact on her life!

Brian and his team do a fantastic job training the kids while keeping things light. The atmosphere is fun but they take the belt progression very seriously. This organization is fantastic. I've been going on and off for 2 years due to a busy schedule and Covid but I can say that Sensei Brian is the best coach I've ever had. When you're at the place you feel like you're with family friends while learning and building your martial arts talent. I refuse to go to another martial arts organization. Most places handout black belts for the sake of it even when you're not close to being one. Brian makes sure you learn and earn each belt up. Easy to work with and flexible. 5 star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ establishment and coaching.

It had been over 10 years since I participated in kickboxing classes, but Brian and Brandon were welcoming and put me at ease immediately. It’s a friendly upbeat atmosphere that promotes positivity; and no matter what your fitness level is, you will receive a challenging workout. I have a long list of good things to say about Total Impact Martial Arts. I chose this place for my son based on first impressions on speaking to Shihan Brian. I was incredibly impressed at his openness about the training and philosophy he used for his students and further impressed by seeing his plans in action. All of the teachers at this school present Martial Arts in such a creative and fun way. I enjoy sending my son here as I think they focus on meeting the needs of all students whatever level they may be at in their journey. This is a great place for both children and adults. Our kids have been students for many years and this place is like second family. Due to money concerns, I could only budget training for a month this time around. They offered a plan for two lessons a week at a reasonable price. Total Impact wasn't just a cost effective choice compared to some other places I looked into, it ended up being one of the best investments I've made in a while.Brian and the others on staff are great to work with. They'll offer encouragement, kindly offer criticism when applicable; and most importantly, you'll be sure to learn something if you show up. In the one month, I got to learn some basics of a variety of disciplines. All of which have given me a lot to practice and think about. I plan on going back someday.

My Kid is with Total Impact from last 2 years and she had amazing training of mixed martial arts here . The martial arts training is incredibly thorough and well done at Total Impact. But that isn’t what sets Total Impact apart. Brian and his staff are so welcoming and kind. They make sure that each student feels comfortable and have helped my children gain confidence, flexibility and discipline. They have a belt system like every martial arts school, but the focus at Total Impact isn’t on belts, it is on what it takes to achieve progress. They focus on the journey, not the destination. My kids have been doing the little ninjas class for the last 2 months. They LOVE it. One of my kids is pretty timid and can struggle to separate from me. Shihan Brian made him feel so welcome and involved that he started participating on the very first day. Since the first class, he has consistently been excited to go, never wants to miss a class, and runs right in as soon as we get there. The kids have a great time and don't even realize they are practicing focus, balance, and exercise. The staff is so fun and professional, and the dojo is clean and feels safe. This is the best early childhood class we have ever been involved in and we are so glad to be part of the Total Impact team.

What a gem of a place! The name “total impact” is so very right - its a Total Impact to your body and as a family we can see it everytime we go work out. Shihan Brian, Sensei Kyle, Sensei John John, Sensei Allen and Brandon are all so awesome and so friendly with all the students. Their Martial arts techniques and making young kids understand the value of focus, respect and discipline sets them way above the others. Our young boy loves going to his Martial arts class and always felt comfortable from day 1 - thanks to Shihan Brian and other Senseis for being so involved and always trying to motivate each and every kid while teaching the key moves. Also being part of their kickboxing classes has made us bring the best of ourselves and realize the importance of being fit and going. The circuit training for kickboxing is different every day and ensures all different levels are included. Shihan Brian and Senseis all bring a lot of fun and enthusiasm while ensuring every singe student is able to give his/her atleast 100%. Its great to have a place like Total Impact which has made us much stronger as a family. As Shihan Brian says - THE FAMILY THAT KICKS ALWAYS STICKS!! Thank you to him and all the Senseis. We love this place and the positive impact it has brought in our lives!

I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking either to learn martial arts or just have some fun while transforming their mind and body positively. Simply rocking!!

I am writing this review after taking the class for almost 2 weeks.
I loved the class. The instructors put their full efforts into making the class fun, & exciting. It is unlike other classes where just they aim to complete 1 hr & give you some basic stuff to do.
Total Impact instructor keeps on check technique they change the combinations, workout style every day. U should definitely join the class. Highly recommended.

When I found Total Impact I was at a point in my life where I kept telling myself I was going to get in better shape and doing yoyo diets and could not commit myself to any of it. After talking to the owner Brian and signing up for a “6 week get fit challenge” all of that has changed. They are so great with working with you every step of the way to make sure every move is correct and motivating you to keep you on track, from day 1 I have felt like family. Even though the challenge is technically over Brian has been more than willing to help me continue on and keeping me in the right direction towards my goals. I recommend this place to anyone that just needs that little push of motivation and is not afraid to go for their goals.

**PLEASE take the time to read. This is truly from my heart and not something I ever do. This is my first review to write ever.**

Total Impact has been a true blessing for our family. We just transferred for my husband’s job from Texas so being unfamiliar with everything here in Arlington Heights/Chicago I reached out to a Mom’s group and received glowing recommendations for Total Impact. I have a 5 year old son and we have seen great improvement in his self confidence and he loves his teachers. Master Brian, Sensei Allen and Sensei John John are amazing with the kids. They have patience over and above. They truly know how to balance having fun and teaching discipline along with the true skills to be successful and grow in this sport. I could not have found a better location to send my son for true growth. Master Brian has all the right beliefs such as teaching the kids to succeed in life, not everything is handed to you it must be worked for, success comes with hard work and diligence. I believe children need to have the drive to win but the ability to accept loss and learn from it. A loss is only ok when you learn from it, gaining motivitation and drive to push forward to try again. You can be certain Master Brian, Sensei Allen and Sensei John John will give them positive reinforcement win or lose because no great accomplishment is given to you it is earned with determination and never giving up. All of these things will not only give our children discipline,healthy habits, like minded friends, sportsmanship and life skills that will put them on a path for success. One last thing and this is my opinion only and I respect others opinions so just know I feel strongly about this and pray others may take a moment and think about it. Don’t be afraid to see your children lose, don’t teach them they will receive a ribbon/trophy either way. Again, my opinion if you don’t win you don’t receive a ribbon, trophy or etc it’s just not real life. At work when you don’t get the big promotion you were working for they don’t say good try here is a corner office for your effort. Right or wrong I don’t believe in participation ribbons or trophies for everyone. I grew up in a time when 1st and 2nd received recognition and sometimes only 1st. Trust me I have a box full of trophies, ribbons and awards but just as many or more times I received nothing. The drive and desire that gave me to push harder, train more and succeed was the most powerful motivator out there. This has served me well in life so many times. Just a few to mention... I completed college on my own working during the day at Hardee’s to pay for night classes at the university, seeking out jobs at a very young age in the legal field with no experience being turned away and asking what do you need for me to be hire able? Experience they would say, time on the job, more training. I told them no problem I will be back and I was a year later receiving the lowest job they had as a mail/errand runner. I was thrilled because know I could show them my abilities which I did and found myself head of the legal department because I knew from a very young age what it was to be pushed to learn and never give up with failures along the way what sweet success in the end. All because I had a coach/ trainer like Master Brian who believed in getting up dusting yourself off and getting back to work. I understood what they were asking for. See I didn’t train in karate but I was a runner from the age of second grade our coach would take us to fun runs 5k and 10ks on the weekend. I never could win because we had one girl who was so thin, had legs for days and incredible stamina from my same school. No matter how hard I tried I couldn’t cross that line first. I ran everyday for miles (I was young �). Finally we were headed to a Valentine 5k and I looked at my coach this was 5th grade by now and I told him coach I’m going to sprint this whole thing, I don’t care if I puke or faint at the end. I will just keep running I’m tired of not taking home a trophy. And I did just that when the race started I ran like my life depended on it. I passed the girl/my friend and I never looked back I actually started running harder out of fear she would just kick it in with those long legs and stamina that was hard to beat. I remember seeing the finish line in site and I could hear my coach hollering you did it, you did it. When I crossed the line I fell to my knees an accomplishment for the books, finally a trophy that yes I still display to this day 38 years later.

Sorry for the long story which might feel meaningless but Master Brian shares the same desires to motivate the young kids, mold them into young adults who know how to push and train for what they want at the same time teaching sportsmanship. My coach always, I mean always had me congratulate the winners and give them words of praise. Total Impact has these life lessons in mind. They want to see their students taught the right way, learning the skills they need to be healthy, strong mentally and physically. Total Impact also has a new word each week posted that they focus on teaching our children such as honesty, focus and courtesy just to name a few and each lesson they talk about it and have the kids say what they can do to implement. I believe this is the place to be because trust me your children will grow to be successful in the sport gaining each belt truly deserving the honor of moving up to the next level and when that ever sought out black belt is earned, it’s not because of money spent, 6 months of perfect attendance or other non related knowledge/skill. That belt will proudly be awarded because the time, effort, dedication and drive set forth to learn what was needed to wear that belt was accomplished. If you are looking to “buy” a belt just to say hey look at me, this isn’t your studio but I promise when your child EARNS that belt with his own efforts he will have so much more than just a black belt to show his skills. What a life lesson. My son will be at Total Impact for many years to come. I have seen so much growth in him in such a short time it is amazing. If you are looking for a place that will help build your child into a successful human being and prepare them for not only healthy living, defense skills but the most powerful life lesson to gain success “Never Give Up”. Finally, for those schools, churches and organizations that feel karate is violence I challenge you to reach out to me and allow me to visit with you on this matter. As a law enforcement officer certified in the State of Texas and Louisiana having worked for 10 plus years to date I have seen schools like Total Impact come in to public and private schools and teach children just the opposite that violence is the last resort. We ask our children to educate themselves but we in turn have to learn to do the same. Please give Total Impact a try you will not be disappointed!!! Join and get ready to watch your kids have a blast because it’s not drill instructors it’s a happy balance like I mentioned earlier. PS if your child suffers from ADD, ADHD, sensory disorders, social anxiety, etc. like my little boy these guys are amazing with patience like you can’t imagine. I see many of these issues minimizing greatly in 3 short months.

I found Total Impact by clicking on this add (which I almost never do) about a 6-week Get Fit Challenge. When I entered the challenge, I didn’t know what to expect and was totally out of my comfort zone, but I went anyways and I am SO glad that I did. I absolutely LOVE this place and have fallen in love with the adult kickboxing classes. Everyone there treats you like family. It doesn’t matter your skill level or if you’ve never stepped foot in a gym before. They watch each student and take the time to train with you. They will correct your form for you and show you the right way to punch, kick, squat, etc. to prevent you from getting hurt. For me this is HUGE! I’ve been to other workout classes and even had a personal trainer, but I ended up hurting my back because no one corrected my form when I was lifting weights. I am now pained every day by this injury. Total Impact is NOT like that at all. There is a huge emphasis on stretching, drinking plenty of water, and living an overall healthy lifestyle. They take the time to show you the correct movements and will explain why its important to have the correct form. I could go on and on about this place . . .

This is the best workout that also teaches you discipline, respect, and self-defense. This isn’t your typical “workout class.” The challenge is in its last week and I had already decided after Day 1 that I will absolutely be sticking around to train at Total Impact for a long time. I definitely recommend anyone and everyone to check this place out and try at least one class. You won’t regret it!!

My son attends classes at Total Impact with Sensei Brian. He has seemingly endless patience with the children in the class. He balances periods of concentration and focus with games that let all that pent up energy out, and he's very careful that the kids have fun and don't get hurt. It is amazing how much my 7 year old has learned already, he is so proud of himself and he has so much fun he can't wait to get back to the dojo.

Martial arts is a great way to instill confidence, bully proofing, sportsmanship, team spirit, a sense of accomplishment, and discipline in children. Incredible!!! I started with The cardio kickboxing class two months after my 3rd kid was born and I loved it!!! The people in the class and instructor are so motivating!!! It’s located in my neighborhood and I really appreciate the flexibility, honesty, location, accountability of my whole experience! I have been doing martial arts since the 60's. I have a 4th degree black belt in Japanese Karate , well versed in kickboxing, boxing and Graci Jui-Jitsu. I met Brian at the famous Z's martial arts in the early 90's while being trained by Shihan Rob Zbilski and world kickboxing champ Jimmy Z as well as other great martial artists. Brians skills are next to none, but more important he is a nice person who cares about his students. So if you want to learn self defense, just get in shape , or want a great work out , Total Impact martial arts is the place to try !
