Celebrating its classic 80s message, this movie actually is returning to the screen 3/31/19 and 4/2/19 in a limited engagement. For 35 years, this coming of age story love story, as well as one of a bullied teenage boy, has impacted multiple generations. The plot revolves around the friendship of the character, Daniel and the older handyman, Mr. Miyagi (Morita). The older gentleman taught Daniel (Macchcio) martial arts which helped him overcome his adversity. Martial Arts empowered him to take control over his life, fight for the girl he loves, and learn invaluable life lessons.

Jennifer Lopez played a waitress in the 2002 drama that her struggling as a wife of domestic violence until she learned to forge an unbreakable warrior spirit within her by learning the martial art, Krav Maga. Lopez actually trained in the art discipline in order to prepare for her film role.
Krav Maga taught her character, Slim how to be quick and effective as a small person. Krav Maga involves a quick burst of energy and then – get out. You do not have to “pit your weight” against an opponent who is likely to be bigger and stronger. As a woman, it taught her personal empowerment. She shed her victim and became confident, strong, and said “enough” to her abuser.

Considered one of the greatest mixed martial arts movies in history, the setting for this mixed martial arts film actually takes place in the MMA ring. An ex-marine returns home to confront his tragic past as his recovering alcoholic father and former wrestling coach trains him for “Sparta” the biggest MMA tournament. Hardy’s underdog brother, Brendan, fights his way into the tournament. Both estranged brothers must face each other and what pulled them apart in the past. The film featured the real-life MMA fighters, incredibly accurate MMA action sequences and how to find the inner strength to overcome adversity on the big screen.
